How many customer enquiries are you losing?
Calls nobody picks up, messages answered the next day: see how much revenue slips away, stage by stage, and what an assistant answering at once brings back.
Change the highlighted numbers
Every month we get enquiries: calls, emails and messages. Of these, % arrive after working hours. We never answer % of them, and the rest we usually answer . Of the rest, % become customers, and the average job or order is €. An assistant could answer % of them on its own: prices, opening hours, order status.

How we count
- 1We count only enquiries that are really lost, never the gap to a perfect five-minute reply.
- 2Unanswered enquiries: some people call or write again, so we count 30 % of them as lost (conservative) to 60 % (likely).
- 3Answered too late: after-hours enquiries not answered by the next morning, and slow daytime replies, lose a share to whoever answers first. Answering the same day: 10–20 % of after-hours and 3–6 % of daytime enquiries; the next day: 15–30 % and 8–15 %; within an hour: 5–10 % and up to 2 %. The scale is ours and deliberately low: the Lead Response Management Study found the odds of qualifying a lead 21 times lower at 30 minutes than at 5.
- 4Revenue lost a year = lost enquiries × the share that become customers × the average job or order × 12, shown from conservative to likely.
- 5An assistant answers every enquiry at once, day and night. It recovers 60 % of the lost ones plus up to 30 % more for the routine share it answers completely; the rest still wait for a person.
- 6Starting figures are our typical values for a company of 10–50 people in your sector. Published missed-call and after-hours figures come from vendors (411 Locals 2016, AnswerConnect 2026), so treat them as indicative and enter your own.
