Mira: a voice assistant built on Claude
Mira runs your day by voice: she briefs you, drafts replies, uses your Mac and keeps your AI agents on track.
A scripted demo with Mira’s real voice and screens. Every person, company and amount in it is made up.
Talking and listening
Talk to her in any app, and she answers out loud.
Try it in the demoPush-to-talk
Hold the key, speak, let go to send. A quick tap listens until you pause.
Fn or right ⌘ as the talk key
Use Fn or right ⌘ instead of ⌥ Space, in any app.
Tap the orb
Click to listen, to send what you said, or to stop her speaking.
Type instead of talking
Type a turn and she answers out loud and in text.
Hands-free follow-ups
After she answers, the mic reopens for your follow-up, no keys needed.
Talk over her (barge-in)
Start talking while she speaks and she stops within a quarter of a second.
Knows when you’ve finished
She judges the end of your turn from the words, so a trailing “and…” gets time.
Only answers when spoken to
Talk to someone in the room or on a call and she drops it without a trace.
“Hey Mira” wake word
Say “Hey Mira” to start without a key; the request that follows is kept.
Thinks ahead
She starts searching while you are still speaking, so answers arrive sooner.
New conversation
Start fresh with ⌘N; the transcript stays in her history. She asks first.
Hands work to Claude sessions
“Do this in the repo” goes to your own Claude Code session; she speaks the result.
Uses the real microphone only
Pick your mic; virtual devices such as meeting audio can’t be chosen.

Voice and languages
How she sounds, and the languages she hears and speaks.
Four natural English voices
Choose Ava, Emma, Jenny or Sonia, each with a preview.
Speaking speed
Set how fast she talks, from 0.8× to 1.4×.
Starts speaking at once
Each sentence plays while the next is still being written, so the first sound comes fast.
Hears Lithuanian and Russian
You say “Perkelk Rūtą į penktą” and it appears as typed text, on the Mac.
Writes to each person in their language
Drafts follow the language each person writes in, shown on their page.
She doesn’t repeat herself
Her recent openers and pet names are tracked so she doesn’t reuse them.

Screen, camera, dictation
Show her what you see, or just talk and she writes it up.
“This”: what’s on your screen
“Reply to this” just works. She reads your screen once, when you start talking.
Show Mira a photo
Drop in a photo or snap one. She proposes a card, and nothing happens before your yes.
“Take this down”: long dictation
Talk as long as you like; it becomes a spec, brief, tasks or email waiting for your yes.
Tasks by voice
“Remind me Friday at 10 to…” becomes a task with time, area and repeat, shown first.

Briefing and reports
A spoken start to the day, and reports that read themselves out.
Try it in the demoMorning briefing, spoken
Every morning at 09:00 she says your day in about a minute and a half.
Briefing as cards you act on
Five to eight cards: open, snooze, or hold to approve a draft.
Steer it by voice
Say “skip” or “more on that” while it plays.
Three numbers each morning
What got done overnight, what fixed itself, and what waits for you.
While you were away
After half an hour away she recaps what she did, spoken and written.
Meeting heads-up
Ten minutes before a meeting, a quiet notification with a short brief.
Month and year in review
On the 1st, a written look-back lands on your Desktop, with a spoken version.
Every report gets a 15-second spoken version
“September in review: three shipped, one blocked, two waiting.”
Monthly delivery report draft
Measured figures with their sources are drafted into your report shape, then summarised aloud.
Client and team updates written for you
A plain update from the project’s real progress, in your style, waiting for your hold to send.
Daily wrap-up and weekly summary
At 18:00 she says what’s done and left; on Fridays she sums up every session’s week.

Mail sorted into replies, tasks and briefs, sent only when you hold.
Try it in the demoAll your mail accounts in one place
Your Apple Mail accounts, read and filtered: All, Needs reply, Tasks, FYI.
Triage into drafts, tasks and briefs
Each message becomes a reply draft, a task, a brief for a session, or filed FYI.
Drafts in your own voice
A style profile per account, language and person, with Short, Friendly or Formal tones.
Edit a draft by voice
Say what to change and she rewrites it.
Hold to send, with Undo
Hold to send; let go early and nothing goes. A few seconds to undo.
Make it a task or brief a session instead
Create a task, or send a brief to a Claude session; both can be undone.
Ignore for good
“Ignored. Mira won’t bring it up again,” with Undo.
Reading guard against hostile mail
A message that tries to instruct Mira is flagged; she won’t act unless you say so.
Waiting-on radar and nudges
Tracks what you asked for and what they promised, and drafts a nudge when it’s late.

Chats
Slack, WhatsApp and Messages in one place, answered in your style.
Try it in the demoOne Chats screen
Slack, WhatsApp and Messages in one list, filtered by All, Direct, Groups, Mentions.
Instant Slack
A DM or mention arrives the moment it lands, with thread context.
Slack replies posted as you

Understands what’s posted
Reads images, PDFs, Office files, Google Docs, videos and links, with a one-line summary each.
Replies on her own, earned per person
A ladder per person: drafts, then an undo window, then on her own.
WhatsApp and Messages drafts, you press Enter
She drafts in your style and pastes it into the chat; you press Enter.
Context without opening
Shows the thread and nearby messages, read-only, without opening the chat.
“Sent by Mira on her own” card
Shows why she was allowed to send, with an Undo countdown.

Needs you, approvals, activity
Everything that waits for your yes, and a record of what she did.
Try it in the demoOne “Needs you” queue
Everything waiting on you in one list; each card shows what happens, to whom, from where.
Answer by voice
Say “yes”, “not now” or the card’s phrase: short answers only, while the card is showing.
Hold to confirm
Every irreversible step is a hold, labelled with what it does: send, delete, deploy.
Ask before deciding
Send a question to whoever asked; the answer comes back to the card.
Mira does the work, then asks
For bulk or destructive work she prepares and counts it, then waits for your yes.
Activity log with Undo
Everything she did, with when, where, who and why, and Undo where possible.
Blocked sessions surfaced
A session waiting at a permission prompt shows its command, with “Show in VS Code”.
Approve from a notification
Approve or Decline from a Mac notification; Approve needs Touch ID or your password.
Locked categories
Deploys, sending email, posting and money always wait for you; no session can skip them.

Tasks, routines, goals
Tasks, reminders and standing jobs that run on a schedule.
Try it in the demoTasks by day and area
Today, Upcoming and By area views, daily or weekly repeats, and Undo on done.
Snooze
Snooze for 15 minutes, an hour or until tomorrow.
Reminders three ways
A Mac notification, an in-app banner and a spoken line; quiet hours hold them.
Mira’s routines
Hourly request check, 09:00 briefing, 18:00 wrap-up, Monday and Friday reviews, each switchable.
Make your own routine
Choose when it runs, what to do and how to be told: spoken, notification or quiet summary.
Keep an eye on…
Set a standing goal; she checks read-only on a schedule and tells you once.
Quiet hours
From 22:00 to 08:00 she holds messages and tells you in the morning how many came in.

Calendar and trips
Your meetings and journeys, ready before you ask.
Try it in the demoKnows your day
Reads today’s and upcoming meetings, so “what’s next?” gets a real answer.
Meeting briefs
A brief built from your mail and Slack history with the attendees.
Holds and moves after your yes
She proposes a hold or move; after your yes it is written to Calendar.
Trips as one card
Bookings in mail and calendar become one trip with a leave-by time. She never books or pays.

Money
Receipts filed, charges watched, and nothing paid for you.
Receipts filed per company

What to look at
Flags double charges, price rises, trials ending and renewals; cancellation emails are drafted for you to send.
Which company is this for?
When unsure she asks in Needs you, with a button per company.

People, memory, Find
What she knows about people and projects, and one search for all of it.
Try it in the demoHer own memory, visible and editable
Facts, people, projects and rules, each with its source; search, edit or forget with Undo.
Learns from your corrections

Find anything
Searches people, mail, chats, files, memory, tasks and research at once.
Remembers across restarts
The conversation and memory carry over to new chats and restarts.

Research
Ask a question and she keeps digging while you carry on.

She keeps an eye on the AI agents building your software.
Try it in the demoEvery Claude session on your Mac
States like working, waiting for your OK or finished, plus a timeline and thread.

For an imminent meeting, urgent message or stuck session, within a daily budget, never in Focus or calls.
Mood dial
Playful, Focused or Quiet, or follow your day: focused in meetings, quiet at night.
Check-ins
One caring line a day at most; “not now” snoozes it, “stop checking on me” ends it.
Spoken session messages
When a Claude session has something for you, she says it; quiet hours hold it.

Privacy
You can pause her, go off the record, and decide what she never reads.
Pause
“Pause for an hour”: no mic, screen, mail reading or speaking first until you resume.
Off the record
“Off the record, …” gets a throwaway answer; nothing is saved and the clip is deleted.
Never-look list
Apps and sites she never reads; password managers, banking and medical sites are on it by default.
Keep transcripts for 7, 30 or 90 days
Older transcripts and clips are deleted daily; “Clear history” asks first.
Runs on your Mac
Listening, the wake word and her server run on your Mac.

Offline
When the network drops, she says so and carries on with what still works.
Still useful offline

A day with Mira
How she works
- Mail goes out only on your hold, or for people you’ve cleared her to answer. Always with Undo, for a few seconds after it goes.
- She never pays, signs in or accepts terms. At the edge she brings the window forward and you press the button. Card numbers and passwords are never typed.
- Privacy is yours. Pause her, go off the record, or keep apps and sites on a never-look list.
What she runs on. Built on Claude; local Whisper speech-to-text; Microsoft Edge voices.
